Twitter in Chaos as Musk Layoffs 50% Staff

A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Twitter for not giving employees sufficient notice about layoffs.

Twitter sent out a companywide email on Thursday telling employees that they would be informed of their status via email. Hours before the cut, Twitter closed its offices, disabling workers' access to internal resources.

But, was this process legal? A class action lawsuit has been filed against Twitter for giving employees inadequate notice about layoffs and violating worker protection laws.

General Mills, Pfizer, and Volkswagen are among the major brands that have paused advertising on Twitter in recent days. Elon Musk mentioned how the platform has lost a major source of income because of activist groups pressuring businesses yesterday, tweeting that due to the decrease Twitter revenue dropped rapidly.

Musk faces a race against time to find new revenue sources. To make up for the anticipated loss, Twitter is scheduled to launch its extremely sought-after $8 per month subscription plan On Monday November 7th 2022.
